Unregulated
- Care inside the family home (the carer comes to you) — advertising for role is permitted.
- Care outside the family home (the child goes to the carer) — advertising for role is not permitted.
- Services not primarily for care — sport, dance, music, culture, language classes, tutoring, etc.
Family Day Care
- Care is provided on a regular, ongoing basis.
- Care is in the carer’s home or an approved premises.
- Between 1 and 7 children at a time under 13 years old, with less than 5 not yet in school.
Centre-Based Services
- Care is provided on a regular, ongoing basis.
- Care is at an approved premises outside of a home.
- Qualified carers, required staff-to-child ratios and a nominated supervisor are employed.
School
Students are not denied entry if they are unvaccinated, it is against NSW Education and NSW Health laws for a student to be denied enrolment based off vaccination status. If an outbreak occurs at a school, a student with no immunisation documentation may be requested to stay at home during the outbreak.
